FirstBank Florida continues growth; Coral Gables Mayor declares it FirstBank Florida Day in State of the Art Branch Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

MIAMI – March 8, 2014

Alongside its customers, staff, elected officials, friends and esteemed business & community leaders, FirstBank Florida held a dazzling branch ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday in its new state of the art Coral Gables branch located at 2990 Ponce de Leon Blvd.   FirstBank, with a 25 year history of doing business in the Gables, touted the branch’s customer-friendly layout, technological additions, its drive thru, the building’s ample parking, and its central Gables location.     FirstBank Florida, which is focused on growing and expanding its South Florida footprint, continues making strategic moves, including growing its commercial, corporate, and residential teams, and opening new branches.  “We remain committed to delivering the high quality and personal service of a community bank, while maintaining the financial wherewithal to manage large deals – and, thrilled to open a beautiful new branch in Coral Gables,” said FirstBank’s Region Executive and EVP, Calixto Garcia-Velez.   “The Gables is a terrific place to live, work, and conduct business… and we have no doubt we will continue to see ‘the city beautiful’ grow and prosper even more,” added Garcia-Velez.
